At The Mates Maker Shed, we aim to get your order to you as quickly and safely as possible.

As a charity and men’s shed, many of our products are 3D printed by members who are learning and building their skills. This means some items are made in small batches or made to order, and processing times may vary slightly. We appreciate your patience and support — every order helps support our community programs.

1. Order Processing Times

We aim to process and dispatch orders within 1 Business Day

Please note:

• Some items may be made to order

• Processing times may be longer during busy periods, sales, or holidays

• Orders are not processed or dispatched on weekends or public holidays

If there is a significant delay with your order, we will contact you using the details provided at checkout.

2. Shipping Locations

We currently ship to:

• Australia

If you are outside our listed shipping regions and would like to place an order, please contact us and we will let you know if shipping is available.

3. Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on one or more of the following:

• order weight

• package size

• delivery location

• selected shipping method

We may offer options such as:

• Standard Shipping

Shipping rates and delivery estimates will be shown at checkout before payment is completed.

4. Delivery Timeframes (Estimates Only)

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and begin after your order has been dispatched.

Estimated delivery times may vary depending on:

• your location (metro, regional, remote)

• carrier delays

• weather events

• public holidays

• peak shipping periods

We are not responsible for delays caused by postal carriers or events outside our control.

5. Shipping Carriers

We use trusted shipping providers (such as Australia Post and/or other courier services) to deliver orders.

Once your order has been dispatched, delivery is handled by the carrier.

6. Tracking Your Order

If tracking is available for your shipping method, you will receive a tracking number by email (or via your Shopify order updates) once your order has been dispatched.

Please allow some time for tracking information to update after dispatch.

7. Incorrect Addresses

Please make sure your shipping address is correct at checkout.

We are not responsible for orders sent to an incorrect address provided by the customer.

If you notice an address error, contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been dispatched, we will do our best to update it.

If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, additional shipping charges may apply to resend the parcel.

8. Lost, Delayed or Damaged Parcels

If your parcel is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged, please contact us and we will do our best to assist.

Please include:

• Order number

• Name

• Delivery address

• Photos of damage (if applicable)

We may need to lodge an enquiry with the shipping carrier before a replacement or refund can be arranged.

For damaged or faulty items, please also refer to our Return & Refund Policy.

9. Split Shipments (If Applicable)

In some cases, we may ship items separately if:

• items are made at different times

• products are packaged differently

• stock availability changes

If this happens, we will let you know.

10. 3D Printed Product Notes (Important)

Our products are 3D printed with care, and we do not send items with major defects.

However, because of the nature of 3D printing, small cosmetic variations may occur (such as layer lines or minor surface marks). These do not affect shipping eligibility or delivery obligations and are generally considered normal characteristics of the product.

11. Customs, Duties and Taxes (International Orders Only)

For international orders (if offered), customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees charged by their country.

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processing.
