This website is operated by The Mates Maker Shed. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Mates Maker Shed.

1. About Our Shop

The Mates Maker Shed is a charity and men’s shed that creates and sells 3D printed products.

Many of our products are made by members who are learning and developing 3D printing skills. We take care to produce items to a high standard and do not send items with major defects, however due to the nature of 3D printing, minor cosmetic variations may occur.

By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that minor variations (such as layer lines, surface texture, and slight colour variation) are normal characteristics of 3D printed items.

2. Online Store Terms

By using this site, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or territory, or that you are the age of majority and have given us consent to allow your minor dependants to use this site.

You must not use our products for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose, nor may you violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including copyright laws).

You must not transmit any worms, viruses, or any code of a destructive nature.

A breach of these Terms may result in immediate termination of your access to our services.

3. Products and Product Information

We make every effort to display product descriptions, colours, dimensions, and images as accurately as possible. However, we do not guarantee that your device’s display of colours will be exact.

Because our products are 3D printed, there may be:

• minor cosmetic variations

• slight differences between batches

• small finishing marks consistent with the 3D printing process

These are not considered defects unless they materially affect the item’s intended use.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products at any time without notice.

4. Orders and Acceptance

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including where:

• product availability changes

• pricing errors occur

• shipping details are incomplete or incorrect

• we suspect fraudulent or unauthorized activity

If we cancel an order after payment has been processed, we will issue a refund for the amount paid.

5. Pricing and Payments

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice.

Payment must be received in full before your order is processed and shipped.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all orders placed through our store.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within our stated processing times, but shipping and delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

• postal carriers

• incorrect customer address details

• weather events

• public holidays

• other circumstances outside our control

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery to the address provided in your order (to the extent permitted by law).

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout.

7. Returns, Refunds and Replacements

Our Returns & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms of Service.

As a general rule, we do not offer refunds for change of mind, especially for made-to-order or small-run items, unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

If an item arrives damaged, has a major defect, or the wrong item is sent, please contact us promptly with your order number and photos where possible.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Use of Products and Safety

You are responsible for using products safely and as intended.

Please read all product descriptions and safety notes before use. For example, some products may be designed for LED / fake tealight candles only and must not be used with real flames.

We are not responsible for damage or injury resulting from misuse, improper handling, modification, or use of products contrary to the provided instructions.

Adult supervision is recommended where products may be used around children.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, product descriptions, images, logos, branding, and graphics, is the property of The Mates Maker Shed (or used with permission) and must not be copied, reproduced, republished, or distributed without our prior written consent.

You must not use our content for commercial purposes without permission.
